These Terms apply to your use of the House of Empowerment website, portal, Member Lookup, applications, and membership/verification services.
1) Definitions
House of Empowerment / HOE: the operator of this website and verification program.
Applicant: a provider applying for verification/membership.
Member: a provider approved into a membership tier.
Verification: an independent assessment outcome based on evidence submitted.
Member Lookup: a public search tool displaying limited information about approved members.
Portal: the account area used to submit information, upload evidence and manage membership.
2) Independence and important disclaimer
House of Empowerment is an independent program and is not affiliated with the NDIS Commission or any government body.
Verification is not a substitute for NDIS registration and does not guarantee outcomes, funding, referrals or participant decisions.
3) Website and portal use
You agree not to:
misuse the website, portal or Member Lookup;
attempt unauthorised access or disrupt services;
upload malicious content;
scrape or harvest Member Lookup data;
publish unlawful, misleading or harmful content.
We may restrict or block access to protect users and our systems.
4) Applications and evidence submission
When you apply, you agree that:
information provided is accurate, complete and not misleading;
you have authority to submit information on behalf of the provider;
you have the right to share uploaded documents with us; and
you will only upload information reasonably necessary for assessment.
We may request additional evidence or clarification. Failure to provide required information may delay or prevent assessment.

5) Assessment process and outcomes
Assessments are based on evidence submitted and the standards applicable to your tier.
Outcomes may include approval, conditional approval, request for more information, or non-approval with an improvement pathway.
We may update our standards, checklists and procedures over time.
6) No guarantee
We do not guarantee:
approval outcomes;
commercial results (including referrals or revenue); or
that any third party will choose a verified provider.
7) Membership tiers, fees and payments (if applicable)
Where fees apply:
fees and inclusions will be disclosed before payment or invoicing;
payments are due as stated at checkout or on invoice; and
refunds (if any) will be handled under our Refund Policy or as required by Australian Consumer Law.
8) Verified status, badge use and marketing claims
If approved:
you may describe your provider as a verified member only while your status is current and only for the tier granted;
you must not imply government or NDIS Commission endorsement;
you must not misrepresent what verification covers; and
you must comply with our badge and brand usage rules (if provided).
Misuse may result in suspension or removal.
9) Ongoing requirements and monitoring
Depending on tier, verified status may require:
periodic updates or revalidation;
evidence refresh or spot checks; and/or
notification of material changes (ownership, service scope, serious incidents, etc.).
10) Suspension, removal and status changes
We may suspend or remove membership/verification where:
standards are not maintained;
evidence is false or misleading;
serious concerns arise;
ongoing requirements are not met;
badge/claims are misused; and/or
non-payment occurs (where applicable).
Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond, except where urgent risk, safety or legal concerns exist.
11) Member Lookup listing
Approved members may be listed in Member Lookup with limited information. We may:
decide what information is displayed;
correct or remove listings; and
remove listings when status changes or membership ends.
You must not scrape, copy or harvest Member Lookup data.
12) Account security
You are responsible for:
keeping your login credentials secure; and
all actions performed under your account.
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
13) Intellectual property
Our standards frameworks, checklists, templates, website content and branding are owned by House of Empowerment (or licensed to us). You may not copy, republish or commercialise them without permission.
14) Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and
we are not liable for decisions made by participants, referrers or third parties based on Member Lookup or verification status.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law where it cannot be excluded.
15) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify House of Empowerment for losses arising from:
misuse of the website/portal;
unlawful or misleading submissions; or
infringement of third-party rights in uploaded materials.
16) Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
17) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published on our website with an updated effective date.
18) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia (or your operating state if different). You submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
