Assistance with social participation, transport accompaniment, daily living skill development, and household tasks.
Does NOT include personal care tasks (showering, toileting, dressing).
Upload in the Client Portal (after payment)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) OR 2+ years documented work experience in disability support
- First Aid (HLTAID011) current.
- Manual handling training (last 2 years)
RN Observation Required
Core Support
- Safe mobility assistance (walking with participant, wheelchair use)
- Communication with participants (verbal and non-verbal)
- Domestic assistance (meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry)
- Community access support (transport accompaniment, activity participation)
- Incident recognition and reporting
Health and Safety Knowledge
- Can describe when to escalate to health professional
- Understands basic infection control (hand hygiene, PPE use)
- Can follow a basic support plan
Option A (Preferred): Direct observation during 2-hour shift with existing participant (with consent)
Option B: Portfolio review (referee statements from 2 RNs/allied health who have supervised worker) + structured interview
- 10% random audit annually
- Reassessment by different RN assessor
- Interview with 1-2 participants (with consent) to validate support quality
